Accounts Receivable Manager

What You Will Do:

As Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing student billing accounts, including new enrollments, withdrawals, changes, and other services.

  • Overseeing accounting, collection and reporting of student accounts receivable accounts with school’s third party tuition payment company to ensure all accounts are reflected accurately.

  • Responding to support inquiries related to student accounts in a timely manner, with a customer-oriented, compassionate attitude.

  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of special payment plans with customers.

  • Collaborating with families with past due balances to determine a financially feasible path forward, resulting full collection balanced with a individualistic approach.

  • Supporting billing/payment logistics associated with ancillary programs and revenue-generating events as needed. 

  • Supervising and leading accounts receivable processes across multiple school accounts.

  • Mentoring and coaching team of Accounts Receivable Specialists.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.

  • 4-5 years in administrative, billing and/or accounting experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. Must be able to interact with school families in a professional manner.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and care.

  • Demonstrated strong time management and organization skills.

  • Genuinely enjoys and finds fulfillment in helping people solve their problems. 

  • Experience working in customer facing roles / on customer facing teams. Prior experience in a school or educational setting is a bonus.

  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems and software quickly.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of common independent school platforms (Blackbaud Financial Edge, TADS, FACTS, SmartTuition) strongly preferred.

  • Our compensation package includes comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary:

    • The annual target base salary for this position is anticipated to be $75-85K base salary + bonus. 

    • The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks.
