Roosevelt Solutions was inspired by personal experience and a family legacy. The name “Roosevelt” honors my father’s middle name - it was his idea to send me to the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools in 1978. During a time of financial hardship, my family experienced the kindness of school leadership who reached out and provided the support we needed to stay at the school. That compassionate gesture shaped the trajectory of my life and planted the seed for Roosevelt Solutions.  

My professional career has also been with independent schools, having led several business offices over the past 20 years. I now reflect on my experience as a student, knowing that my family had experienced a period of financial hardship, through the lens of an independent school CFO.

During my years as CFO, I developed a strategy that blends empathy with financial rigor. My goal has always been to create an approach that engages families with understanding while improving tuition collections and business operations - an approach that honors the family-school partnership. This approach has led to less than 1% tuition write-offs and has fostered enduring relationships, with many families becoming strong supporters of their school communities through donations and volunteering.

And that’s what inspired me to found Roosevelt Solutions ....
